Perthshire is often called Scotland's Larder because of the wide variety of Scottish specialties from Gin to Strawberries that we produce.
The Garse of Gowrie, a stone's throw from The Park House, is Scotland's main soft fruit growing area so from May to October we enjoy the freshest raspberries, strawberries and blackberries that Perthshire has to offer. As there is too much to eat we make jams to enjoy all year round.
Scotland's most famous drink may be whisky but over recent years our very creative gin producers are finding world renown.
A short drive up the A93 is the excellent Persie Gin distillery open Saturday to Thursday from 12 noon to 6pm for drop-ins.
